The Bible (2 Tim 3:16-17, 2 Pet 1:20-21, Acts 20:32). The Bible (66 books) is the inspired inerrant Word of God and is authoritative and sufficient in all matters of faith and doctrine.

God (John 1:1, Matt 28:19, 1 Cor 12:4-6, 2 Cor 13:14, Eph 1:11, 1 John 1:5, 4:16). There is one God, who eternally exists as three co-equal persons, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the sovereign, self existent, creator of all things.

The Lord Jesus Christ (Isa 7:14, Col 1:15-19, 3:9, John 1:18, 1 John 3:5). Jesus Christ is the sinlessly perfect eternal Son of God. He came into the world through the virgin birth, being manifested in flesh, fully God and fully man.

Creation (Ex 20:11, Gen 1:26-27, 1 Cor 11:1-16, 14:34-35, 1 Tim 2:8-15, 1 Thess 5:23). God created the world in 6 literal days and created men and women in His own image as the pinnacle of all His created works.

Sin (Rom 3:23, 5:12, Eph 2:1-3, Jer 17:9, Psa 51:5, Gen 12:1-3, Jer 31:31-34, Gal 3:19, Rom 5:20). Due to the sin of our first parents, Adam and Eve, all men and women are born sinners by nature, which nature manifests itself in acts, words and deeds that come short of the glory of God.

Salvation (Rom 3:20-26, 5:1, 2 Tim 2:5-6, John 3:7, 10:28, Acts 8:36-38, 20:21, Rom 6:15, 1 Cor 9:21). Christ’s once-for-all sacrifice on the cross was for all people, without exception and without distinction. His death and resurrection are the basis on which salvation is possible for sinners, who repent and believe the gospel. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, and not by works. A truly justified person can never be lost.

Baptism (Matt 28:18-20, Acts 8:36-38, Rom 6:3-5). Baptism is by immersion in water as a public declaration of personal faith, but contributes nothing to salvation. 

The Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5, Acts 5:3, Rom 8:9, Gal 3:26, 4:6, 1 Cor 12:7, 13, 13:8, 2 Cor 1:21-22). The Holy Spirit seals, indwells, fills and anoints believers immediately upon conversion. All believers have been baptised in the Spirit. Each believer has one or more spiritual gift; but all the revelatory and sign gifts (i.e. tongues) ceased with the passing of the 12 apostles.

The Church (Matt 16:18, 18:20, Acts 2:41-42, 20:17, 28, 2 Thess 1:4, 1 Pet 2:5). All true believers in Jesus Christ are part of “the church which is His body”. Where two or three baptised believers are gathered together in Christ’s name, He is in the midst and they compose a “local church”.

Future Events (1 Cor 10:32, Eph 1:10, 3:21, Rom 11:25, 2 Thess 2:2-1-8, Rev 20:1-6, Matt 25:46). The Lord Jesus will come back to the air to take the church home to heaven before the tribulation. After the 7-year tribulation He will return to earth to inaugurate His 1,000 year Kingdom reign. There are two resurrections, as well as separate judgments for the saved and the lost. Eternity will be everlasting life for the saved but everlasting publishment for the lost.
